THE GAINEY RANCH LEGACY

There's Nothing Worth Having Unless You Can Share It

That was Harvey Gainey’s motto — and it continues to represent the heart of our mission at Gainey Ranch. The stunning scenery, the intimate grounds, and the kind hearts were deliberately set aside as a place to bring God’s children closer to their Heavenly Father.

Where Faith, Creation, & Community Intersect

Gainey Ranch began as a vision born from the generous spirit of Harvey Gainey. A successful businessman with deep roots in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) and a passion for mentoring young leaders, Harvey sought to create a sanctuary where faith, Creation, and community could intersect.

Drawing from his humble upbringing on a Georgia farm — where open spaces often fostered quiet reflection — he transformed 6,000 deeded acres of raw Montana wilderness into an intentional reprieve from the noise of world.

Today, Gainey Ranch carries forward Harvey’s legacy as a haven for organizations seeking rest, renewal, and growth. Here, amid the rare stillness of Montana, retreat participants disconnect from the noise and reconnect with God through untouched Creation, intentional community, and heartfelt conversations on the back porch — often warmed by “hugs from Nana,” whose holy hospitality makes strangers feel adopted into an extended family.

This blend of natural grandeur and relational depth has sparked life-changing moments, from engagements and career callings to strengthened leadership teams.

For new guests, it offers not just a venue, but a sacred space where faith flourishes, bonds deepen, and legacies of generosity inspire future generations to lead with purpose and grace.

THE VISION

When You're Here
You're Family

The people at Gainey Ranch don’t just deliver friendly smiles and warm hospitality. Our mission is genuine, personal spiritual care for our brothers and sisters in Christ. So when you’re here, you’re family.

"You told us, whenever we're home and need a hug, wrap your arms around yourself and it can act as a hug from Mrs Gainey."
Meghan G.

God Will Meet You Here

No matter what you’re wrestling with, the Lord will meet you here with just the right word at the just the right time, time and time again.
